Meet the Cast of North Woods Nonsense

Oshkosh Homeschool Players North Woods Nonsense

Aaron plays the inept Congressman Oakley, and having played the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland, he's pretty comfortable with his part. This is his fourth performance with the Homeschool Players, and he's very glad not to have to be in love this time, as he was the last two years. Aaron enjoys chemistry but not biology, reading fantasy, and making things from junk.

Adelia plays the part of Girl in Black.  This is her first appearance in an Oshkosh Homeschool Players production and she is excited about playing her part exceedingly mysteriously.  Her other interests include practicing piano early in the morning, extreme sledding at Westhaven Park and making up songs in Latin.

Alyssa plays Mary Granola. She debuted as Alice in Alice in Wonderland, and also played Alice in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and Mrs. Murdock in The Secret Garden with another drama group. She loves those persnickety parts! Alyssa has many creative interests, including singing, guitar, baking, and photography. When she's not busy with those, she's reading.

Anais plays the part of Grace Granite, an incompetent and somewhat ditsy news reporter. She has a lot of fun acting, and North Woods Nonsense is her sixth exciting play. Her favorite types of roles are those of fun and comedic characters, or the complete opposite (the Wicked Stepmother!) When she isn't having a great time at rehearsals, she's normally found with her nose in a book, or typing away at her story on the computer.

Anna plays the clueless Mrs. Pike. This is her fourth performance with the Homeschool Players and in real life she's anything but clueless! With five older siblings, she has plenty of opportunities to develop her sharp wit and good humor. Anna loves drawing and painting, especially with watercolors, reading, and playing with friends.

Carolyn has appeared in all four Homeschool Players productions, and portrays Reporter 3 in North Woods Nonsense. Carolyn works as a Mother’s Helper; she plays flute and violin, and is a Girl Scout. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends.

Casimir plays the part of Mr. Pike, one of the few two-legged guests at Lost Loon Lodge. Cas really loves acting, and North Woods Nonsense is his 13th play. He has performed roles ranging from Skunk to Wise Old Man of Persia, and has appeared in all four Oshkosh Homeschool Players productions. When he’s not onstage, he can be found playing his drums, doing karate, or playing video games.

Chloe is participating in her second production with the Homeschool Players. She debuted as a bird in Blather, Blarney, and Balderdash. She has appeared in other plays as well. She is excited about her current role of Guest since it fits her spunky, comical personality! In her free time, Chloe enjoys gymnastics, singing, camping, skiing, soccer, and other outdoor activities and playing with friends. She has a love for animals (as she relentlessly tries to convince her parents she needs more pets, a dog in particular!)

Cory plays Pete; the handyman with the vivid imagination. In past Oshkosh Homeschool Players productions he has played Tweedle Dee, Humpty Dumpty, a hunchback, a suitor, and a king. He enjoys doing plays, working with kids in an AWANA program, and youth group activities.

Frances delighted audiences as a feisty Little Person in Blather, Blarney & Balderdash. This is her fourth Homeschool Players production. Frances plays violin, and is learning to read notes. She enjoys playing with stuffed animals, reading library books, and being in Brownies.

Hannah plays the part of Carrie Granola, Mary's sister who helps run Lost Loon Lodge. This is her third Oshkosh Homeschool Players production, and she has been in nine musicals including her favorite: Fiddler on the Roof. While Hannah is not acting, she enjoys singing, dancing, playing guitar, and hanging out with friends.

Heidi plays Miss Pine, whose job it is to keep Congressman Oakley away from reporters so that they don’t learn about his insane ideas. In past Oshkosh Homeschool Players productions she has played everything from the March Hare, to a cow, to an angry boater, to an aid to the Queen. She enjoys doing theater, hanging out with friends, shooting hoops, and youth group activities.

Kristen plays the part of Miss Birch, the secretary of crazy Congressman Oakley.  Kristen really enjoyed being part of OHP last year and is happy to be participating again.  She has also been in many church related drama and musical productions over the years. Besides drama, Kristen enjoys piano, reading, scrapbooking, swimming and spending time with family and friends. Kristen is “Auntie Gaki” to her niece and a joy to all who know her.

Leah has been in all four Oshkosh Homeschool Players production. She was the Cheshire cat in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Bridget in Blather, Blarney & Balderdash, and one of Scheherazade’s girlfriends in last year’s play. This year, she plays a nosey reporter, which will be challenging since she’s not nosey by nature. Along with acting, she enjoys horses and photography.

Lexi plays Holly, a big city news anchor who usually ends up a little bit annoyed with her fellow reporter, Grace Granite.  This is Lexi's second acting performance.  She played a raccoon in Little Red riding Hood when she was 5.  Lexi is addicted to archery and has played the piano for 11 years.  She has two horses, a herd of goats, and a dog named Memphis.

Madie plays a guest at the Lost Loon Lodge where she can never seem to get the service she deserves, or thinks she deserves.  Madie has never been in a play, but she sure knows how to lay it on.  Other than shooting a little bit of archery, she plays violin and loves to draw.  She has a herd of goats and a dog named Boaz.  Her lifelong ambition has been to own a zebra, which no doubt she will one day.

Mhari plays a reporter in this show. Her acting career started with Oshkosh Homeschool Players two years ago when she played a villager in Blather, Blarney & Balderdash, and then a peddler in Scheherazade. Her other interests include playing on the computer, drawing, and horses.

Robert plays clever reporter Barry Busch. Robert has been in all four Homeschool Players productions, playing parts ranging from Tweedledum to the Grand Vizier. Robert plays trumpet and violin. In his spare time he walks dogs and listens to talk radio.

Tori plays a Girl in Black, trying to find Bigfoot for the not so secret service.  Tori is excited to be in her first play and practices her lines daily.  She plays viola and loves animals.  She has a slew of cats, a herd of goats and a Mini Schnauzer named Jezzebelle.  Her favorite pastime is walking the cats up and down the driveway in a baby stroller, though how she gets them to ride is beyond anyone.
